If you have requested a physical Security Device, it will be sent by email or post.

To activate and set up your Business Internet Banking, download the HSBC Business Banking app from Apple App store or Google PlayStore.
Once downloaded, follow the on-screen instructions to set up.
You can now activate your Business Internet Banking via the app and use the Digital Security Device to generate codes. It’s easy, secure and allows you bank on the go without having to carry a separate device.
If you still need a physical Security Device, start a chat by clicking on the ‘Need help?’ button on the right and one of our agents will assist you.
Follow the on-screen instructions to set up – you’ll need your Business Banking ID, registration number and activation code.
For Primary users, if you registered for Business Internet Banking via a form, you’ll find this on your welcome letter. If you opened a new account for your business, you’ll find this on the Business Current Account application.
For Secondary users, you’ll find this on the confirmation page given to your Primary user.
Your activation code is valid for 28 days.
If you received your code by SMS and your code has expired or is lost, you can request a new code again, if you’re using the HSBC UK Business Banking app to activate.
If you’ve requested an SMS and have not received it, please check if your mobile number is correct.
Secondary Users will no longer receive a confirmation page with an activation code, this will now be sent by SMS. If you have a non-UK telephone number, we're unable to send the activation code by SMS and we'll need to send by post to your company’s registered address. Please contact our helpdesk if you need a new letter to be sent.
You’ll need to complete a Business Internet Banking application form for each business.
To add another business, you’ll need to create log on details by activating one of the businesses first. Once done, you can activate your other businesses by either:

No. The information we send you (Business Internet Banking ID, Registration number and Activation code) is personal to you and should not be shared with anyone else. If you need help while setting up the service, make sure you don't reveal your security details. You should also ensure that your username and password are kept private.
If you want someone else to access the service, you should set them up as a Secondary user. You'll find information about setting up Secondary users in the ‘Manage user’ section of Business Internet Banking.
